Dr. Afzali’s Smoothie Recipe Helps Reduce Inflammation

Almost time for your next dental cleaning or checkup? Add this anti-inflammatory, green smoothie to your diet. Changing the PH of your saliva and making a more alkaline environment in your mouth can enhance the benefits of your teeth cleaning. This recipe serves two:

  • Turmeric, 1 tsp (this spice from Asia is one of the best ingredients for reducing chronic inflammation in your body)
  • Ginger, 1 inch
  • Berries, 1 cup
  • Chia Seeds, 2 tabs soaked in a cup of water for at least 10 hours in the refrigerator
  • Kiwi chopped, 1/2 cup
  • Pineapple chopped, 1/2 cup
  • Mixed dark leafy greens, including cucumbers,1 1/2 cups
  • Green tea, 1 cup of freshly brewed and cooled off
  • Purified water, 1 cup

Blend the above ingredients and add more water based on your desired consistency. Drink up and smile!
